Karel Fuksa is a graduate of the law faculty at Masaryk University in Brno. He also holds a degree in economics from the University of Economics in Prague. During his studies, he completed several legal traineeships, including an internship at the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition.

Before joining Achour & Partners, Karel worked on legal and commercial issues in a region that is one of the main centres of industrial development and domestic and foreign investment in the Czech Republic. In this role, he contributed to a broad regional development strategy and gained critical experience in development projects, real estate and construction law. In addition, Karel has worked in local government, where he focused mainly on subsidies, legal and technical real estate issues, land management and administration.

Karel works on corporate acquisitions, including by conducting legal due diligence, as well as on industrial and residential construction projects. He has advised on some of the most significant transactions by foreign investors in industrial districts of the Czech Republic. Karel also deals with  budgets and subsidies, including European Union, national and regional aid. His work for investors in industrial, infrastructure and other developments includes preparing economic analyses and modelling.
