Legal Assistants

Achour & Partners offers work opportunities to talented and motivated law faculty students with the ability to look at things from new and different perspectives, and supports them in getting their professional careers off the ground and developing them.

A legal assistant is a full member of our team, his or her principal task being to provide support to lawyers and trainee lawyers. The legal assistant’s main job to begin with is legal background research, this in turn being used as the base for other members of the team. Legal assistants are also involved in grammar checks and revisions of various legal texts and in specialised translations and regularly analyse judicial case law for other members of the team, European case law included. Legal assistants also take part in all in-house training and if they wish have the opportunity to attend external training or workshops.

A professional guarantor is assigned to a legal assistant within the team, meaning a lawyer or trainee lawyer, and he or she works with the legal assistant most and acts as guarantor to their professional development. Legal assistants are therefore provided with regular feedback, while an annual assessment evaluates their development at the office and sets out individual goals for the forthcoming period.

The need for legal assistants to be present at the law office depends on the needs of the individual members of the team. We do, however, fully respect their study obligations, as they are the absolute priority for legal assistants.
