The Czech Transport Ministry has prepared an amendment to Act no. 416/2009 Coll., as amended, on the faster development of transport, water and energy infrastructure. The new law aims to speed up the construction of transport infrastructure. For this purpose, it relies on the doctrine of presumptive title, which would allow construction to start before all essential land has been bought or expropriated. Zoning proceedings for listed structures would be managed by a special building authority in the relevant region, which should also accelerate the process. The annex to the proposed amendment includes a list of transport projects including the main highway network, key train corridors and high-speed routes.
